Project: Read 4 Books in 2020

2020/02/02: Over the years we have collected and neglected to read several books. While there are others that have been reread several times over. Then a few years back, it may have coincided with adulting, I migrated from exclusively Fiction to Non-Fiction books. In that same time frame, less and less reading was done.

We made a database of all of our books and recorded the date it was read/finished. The only problem was that more time was spent on the database than actual reading. A few short years later while going to the library and discussed book covering and maintenance with the librarian. I was pointed to Brodart and thus the Home Library was born!

One problem was that more projects meant less focus on reading and enjoying the Home Library. Another problem was the evaporating time we all experience in this hyper connected world. It all changed while meeting with a friend at a book store and coffee shop called Shakespeare & Co. (the building was the site of a brothel many, many years ago!) The joy of getting lost in a good book returned like a lost puppy. (If you're ever in Chehalis, WA stop in and check ...)

Project Overview:
- Read one classic book or one of the many in the Home Library that has not been read yet.

Action Plan:
- Cover the Books: Apply Book Covers or Film, glue in the Library Card Pocket, Print the Book Cards for Tracking.
- Discover New Books and Places: Look for new books outside of normally read genre. Keep an eye out for comfortable places to relax and read.
- Report: First, sign and date the Book Card with the date the book was completed. Second, write a short note here about the book and reading experience. It will definitely NOT be a book report, plot summary or review - just a quick impression. Each Book will have an individual post as well as a note here.
